BAY POLE SCREWS

High-Strength Screws for Secure uPVC Bay Window Installation

Designed for fast, reliable fixing of bay window poles, frames and structural window components.

BAY POLE SCREWS

Bay pole screws are specialised self-drilling, high-strength fasteners designed for connecting uPVC bay window sections, poles and frames. Typically manufactured in a 4.8mm diameter, these screws are engineered to provide strong, secure fixing in window and door fabrication.

The screws feature a self-drilling Tek point which eliminates the need for pre-drilled pilot holes, allowing for faster and more efficient installation on site or during fabrication.

A coarse thread design provides a strong grip when fastening into uPVC or metal reinforcement sections, while the low-profile wafer or flange head ensures a flush or near-flush finish once installed.

Bay pole screws are typically manufactured from hardened carbon steel or stainless steel and are commonly finished with zinc plating to provide additional corrosion resistance and durability in construction environments.

These screws are commonly available in a 4.8mm diameter with lengths typically ranging from 50mm to 100mm, providing flexibility for different installation requirements.

They are available with either Phillips or Pozi (PZ) drive recesses to suit different tooling preferences used by installers and fabricators.

Typical Applications

Bay pole screws are primarily used for securing and connecting uPVC bay window poles, frames and structural window sections during installation and fabrication. They are commonly used in the construction of bay window assemblies where strong reinforcement fixing is required. These screws are also widely used for strengthening conservatory frames, joining structural uPVC window components and supporting other fenestration installations where secure fastening without splitting the PVC frame is essential.
